Hello my darling fashionistas!
As we all know fashion week has been going on for almost a month now in the 4 major cities,
Paris fashion week is still going on.
But nothing has me as excited as the up coming fashion week that's going to take place in Lagos Nigeria next week!
The ARISE Magazine fashion week!
The ARISE organizers have announced that it will feature 77 designers from 6 Continents, including designers as far away as India, the Caribbean, USA, Europe and other Countries in Africa.
The ARISE fashion week, will take place in 3 huge tents on the beautiful and luxurious grounds of the 5-star Federal Palace Hotel,
Lagos, Nigeria. (My home town:-))))))) from the 6th of this month to Sunday night, the11th, ending in a spectacular close with the ARISE Magazine Fashion Awards.
America's Next Top Model Judge, Miss J Alexander
Celebrity Stylist June Ambrose
R 'n' B singer, songwriter, dancer & former B2K frontman, Omarion
The Awards is also a big deal, b'cos the designers that are honored an award that evening, will secure a GOLDEN ticket to showcase their designs at the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week 2012 this September, YEY!
Award-winning New York-based producer, Kevin Krier & Associates & celebrated UK-based Inca Productions have been appointed AMFW 2012 show producers.
The ARISE Magazine founder Nduka Obaigbena says, "There has been a surge of interest from around the world including major UK & American brands this year, following our successful inaugural event last year, which is why we have decided to give even more designers an opportunity to participate this year. The world has recognized that Nigeria has so much to offer in the way of vibrancy and extraordinary talent in abundance making it the cultural capital of Africa!
Once more we are very proud to be associated with the nurturing new designers from the vast continent and continuing our support of those who are more well-known in Nigeria and in the Diaspora."
