House of Silk
Chiffon.
Nigerian fashion designer, Jennifer Adighije-Okolo of the Couture line, "House of Silk" brought her beautiful & colourful collection to London for a 2-day event at the London Marriott Hotel in Maida Vale.
This event is to blend in with next week's AFWL
(African Fashion week, London).
Yes, Its all very exciting and I was fortunate enough to get an exclusive on the collection before everything sold out!

House of Silk was launched in 2009, but has grown so quickly, mainly because the creativity in their designs, invisible tailoring & impeccable finishing has left clients yearning for more.
Their flagship store in Abuja, is known as the Saharan Africa, for good reason......
.......never have I seen such beautiful & flowing chiffon with the Ankara print on it. ......Amazing & Simply, gorgeous.
Brand designer has showcased her 'breezy' collection last year at LFW with great success as well as Arise magazine fashion week. Everybody in the fashion industry agrees that Jennifer unique twist to her designs makes her stand out head & shoulders above the rest!
I have to agree, :)
The embellishments and sequins just blew me away!
 Beautiful
As soon as as I saw this jacket, I just had to have it! :)

BEAUTIFUL PARIS...................

Bonjour Paris xoxoxo

So I took off on a much-need mini break to Paris with my better half and we had an absolute BLAST.
U see, I've been to Paris many times b4 for work but never really took the time or had the time to take in it's culture and appreciate the beauty of Paris!
I decided that this time was going to be very different.
I said to myself "Why not? Life is so short & if I don't do it now, the opportunity might not come again for while"
And so we set off as tourists to discover the beauty of Paris through our eyes.
We started off with none other than her highness and Supreme,
The Eiffel Tower.
The Eiffel Tower was named after the it's engineer, Gustave Eiffel. The tower has become both the a global cultural icon of Paris as well as one of theeee most recognizable structures in the World.
What I wore!
Navy Hair-bow - Chanel
Necklace - Vintage
Dress - Asos
Watch - Hermes
Bag - Onna Ehrlich
Split-toe Sneakers - Nike
The tower has three levels for visitors. I took this picture from the second level.
The Eifeel Tower at night!
It was such a beautiful evening and it was full of people/lovers having picnics.
The day we arrived Paris was celebrating Bastille Day
(French National Day) so the City was so alive with excitement fireworks & parties.

PONT DES ARTS
Pedestrian Bridge
The Pont des Arts is a pedestrian bridge in Paris which crosses the Seine River.
There are over 10, 000 padlocks & counting, of all shapes, sizes & colors locked on the railings of the bridge with names &/or messages of eternal love.
It has been a long standing tradition for couples to make a wish, put a padlock on the bridge, and throw the key into the Seine River.
We did it, and I tell you, you'll be surprised at how an emotional and beautiful moment it becomes.
I highly recommend it.
Oh, & a kiss at the end to seal the deal never hurts. wink!

The Atrium is open all day long for breakfast, Lunch and a light dinner. You don't have to be a guest to eat there and as far as I'm concerned it's the most beautiful part of the hotel.
The minute you walk in, you feel as if you've walked into the Garden of Eden, thinking only beautiful thoughts.
Heaven.

Shopping @ the amazing
Galeries Lafayette:-)
I mean seriously, who doesn't like shopping when u travel, it only makes whatever purchases u make that more special.
The Galeries Lafayette is 10-story upmarketFrench department Store located on 10 Boulevard Haussmann.
And this is the best part, Galeries Lafayette consists of three separate buildings all close together, one for everything Men, another for women and the 3rd consists of everything for
 house & home!
Isn't that cool???

The Champs - Élysées
The Champs-Élysées is arguably one of the most famous & most expensive strips in Paris.
Know for its cinemas, cafés, luxury speciality shops
and real estate.
On the Champs-Elysées with the beautiful Arc de Triomphe behind me.

Window Shopping @ The Place Vendôme
The Place Vendôme is nothing short of Fabulous, I tell ya!
Every french designer store that you can roll of the tip of your tongue is there displaying the most beautiful, amazing and jaw dropping jewels I've ever blinked my false eyes lashes on!
Serious shopping here.
Right on the other side is the fabulous Ritz hotel which is under construction as we speak.
Another fun fact: French Designer, Coco Gabrielle Chanel used to  live at the Ritz Hotel for 30yrs. Yep, she sure did!
Needless to say, The Place Vedôme is a beautiful square.
If u get the chance, it's a definite must-go:)

The Arc de Triomphe
The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris.
Beneath the vault of the Arc, lies the Tomb of the Unknown fallen Soldier who fought and died for France in world War 1.

THE LEFT BANK
The left, called 'La Rive Gauche" in French is on the southern side of the Seine. It is by far a smaller section of the City and historically known at the artistic part of the City.

Forget the full-figured woman for a moment, can u see all the padlocks for sale on the table? Yep,
The Pont de Arts bridge is just further down the street. :-)))

The Place de la Concorde
The Luxor Obelisk stands at the center
of the Place de la Concorde and was shipped in from Egypt.
The Place de la Concorde is one of the major Public Squares in Paris.
There was a fantastic parade that took place on Bastille day, (The French National Day) You should have seen the magnificent airplane display!.....Sensational.
The Place de la Concorde Square.

Jardin des Tuileries
The Tuileries Garden is a public garden between the Louvre Museum and the Place de la Concorde.
Created by Catherine de Medicis 4 the Tuileries Palace, it became a public park after the French Revolution in 1667.
It's one of the most beautiful parks I've ever been to, so clean and precise, you don't even want to sit down on the chairs they have around.
I loooOooove this pic, it makes me smile every time I look at it.
 .......................

The Musée du Louvre
The Louvre pyramid (behind me) serves as the main entrance to the Louvre Museum.
The pyramid was designed by a wonderful Japanese architect, called I.M. Pei in 1984.
Yep! 1984, when Madonna came out with her Summer Smash hit, Holiday!
I don't why I just thought of that, but anyway, ......
The Louvre museum is one of the world's largest museums and a central landmark of Paris, France.
The Louvre is located on the Right Bank of the Seine & is one of the City's biggest tourist attractions. You simply cannot leave Paris without visiting the Louvre.
The Louvre Museum is also home to the historic painting, the MONA LISA.

Château de Versailles
The Palace of Versailles is a royal château in Versailles.
The magnificent château de Versailies is a testimony of the Sun King's (Louis XIV) extravaganza. The Palace and it's magnificent formal garden became the quintessential model for al Palaces in Europe.
Can you believe that the gates and framing of the Palace is all GOLD plated!!!!! .........Speechless.

The HALL of Mirrors, originally known at the Great Hall, used to be an outdoor terrance. It was later converted into a dazzling space to showcase one of Louis XIV's most prized collections.....his sculptures of antiquity.

The gardens of Versaillies is situated on the west of the Palace, the gardens cover about 800 archers of land.
The meticulous manicured lawns, the flowers, sculptures and fountains that are located throughout the garden, are styled and perfected dating from time the of  King LouisXIV, this contributes to making the gardens of Versailles unique.
Paris was absolutely magnificent.

& the City wasn't the only thing I fell in love with all over again............
............. I didn't want it to end.
