I've missed u too.
First of all let me apologize for being MIA (missing in action) London is such a busy & exciting City that I've had my hands full and I just post quick up dates on my instagram page.
I know, naughty, naughty.
Anyway one of the things I've been up to is taking charge of my weight. I'm sure u MUST have noticed that I had put on a considerable amount of weight in the last couple of years and so, I decided to do something about it.
35 lbs lost so far.
The picture on the right is the be4 & the picture on the left is what I look like now! :)
Weights make such a BIG difference in my work out.
My body is much more TONED, especially my legs and they've also leaned out.
My intention was just to loose weight and get back into all of my designer clothes but as time went on I realized that my time to work out, became my time in the day to de-stress, think about my goals/ambitions and to really clear my head. I began to look forward to my morning workouts and enjoy them tremendously.
I also made friends at the gym and got into food and nutrition, so I became more aware of what I was eating and started to make more home-made dishes.
The great thing was that I still ate my shrimp cocktail crisps & my picnic chocolate, just not every day.
I no-longer consider myself on a diet, I'm more on a lifestyle change and the rewards are so much more than I ever expected outside of the weight loss.
A) The outpouring support from friends, family and my Instagram followers was remarkable. It touched my heart and they routed for me every step of the way. Thank you so very much for that guys, l love u all.
B) I made a decision solely based on me and what I wanted to achieve and by so doing, along the way, I inspired so many others to loose weight as well. When I got my first message from one of my readers telling me how I was inspiring her to loose weight for the very first time, it brought me to tears. I was speechless!!!
And so many messages and emails afterwards, from people I've never met, just truly humbled me. I felt such responsibility to NEVER give up b'cos I had other people relying on me now.
It's been a great five months and I intend to continue on this journey so stay tuned for updates. :)
What I ate & still eating.
Lots of fruit, oatmeal, steamed vegetables, Salads, protein,
(sea food, lean meats, fish, chicken) almonds, greek yogurt, whole wheat pitta bread, brown rice, lots of water & freshly home made smoothies.
Super Clear skin at last. No make-up on, completely natural. :)
My natural nails. Strong and long.
The greatest surprise/reward was the improvement in my nails, skin & hair. They became longer, stronger, thicker and clearer.
My skin cleared up so dramatically, that I no longer had dark circles underneath my eyes and all of my blemishes on my face literally disappeared.
My nails grew long and strong and stopped splitting and breaking and my hair really thickened.
Guys, I cannot tell you the amount of MONEY I've spent on false nails, face and hair creams, when all the while, all I had to do was to improve my diet.
As I mentioned earlier, I first started this journey for the simple intention of loosing weight, and by half way through I truly believe that diets don't work. What works is a life-style change. Changing your eating habits, increase your exercise and you'll see yourself transform in the most beautiful you.
On the inside and of course on the outside as well.
